Tangerine-Pomegranate margarita - Make it at home in less than 10 minutes!
Ingredients
What you'll need:
1 1/2 oz (45g) tequila (most will suggest Sauzo Hornitos; I prefer a reposado tequila, such as Patron Reposado Tequila [around $35-45 USD for 750mL]).
1/2 oz (15g) simple syrup
3/4, or .75 oz (20g) Triple Sec
1 oz (30g) Pomegranate juice (I prefer fresh squeezed pomegranate juice, but if it's out of season you can purchase pomegranate juice at almost any retailer)
4 oz (115g) Sweet and Sour mix (prepared)
1/2 pomegranate and 1/2 tangerine for each glass
For 2 servings, you'll roughly double all ingredients. (3 oz of Tequila; 2 oz simple syrup; 1 1/2 oz Triple Sec; 2 oz pomegranate juice ; 8 oz Sweet and Sour mix).
Create it!
A shaker is ideal for mixing margaritas (if you don't have one, check out Amazon.com's Cocktail Shaker Set for only $9!)
Fill a shaker full of crushed ice, pour in/combine all ingredients; strain into a chilled martini glass.
I prefer to skewer the pomegranate and tangerine, but it's completely unnecessary - throw them in the middle of the glass!
And lastly: ENJOY!
